Amber, I'm so sorry. That is such a tough thing to do, even when it is the kindest and most lnviog thing to do. I always ask for my pets to be sedated first. I hold them in my arms if they are small enough, or I hug them as best I can if they are bigger. I hold my hand close to their nose so that they smell me. I hope that calms them--it seems to.I will be praying for you and your sweet Chancie.Love, Laura
