Whenever I try to start a conversation off about cuerrnt events with anyone around me, they usually don't know what is going on, or have only caught a headline blurb or TV soundbyte...just enough to know that everything is being blamed on Bush. So they come away thinking it's all Bush's fault. What's worse is when the only headlines and blurbs they catch are delivered on Comedy Central or by Leno and Letterman.Popular opinion is so often dictated by a mob mentality because people are so clueless and uninformed, and the information they do get is heavily slanted to the Left. Those exit polls that Rebekah refers to were intended to discourage Bush supporters from going to the polls. Early in the afternoon on election day word was Kerry would win in a landslide. Again and again, polls have shown to be completely unreliable snapshots. In some cases (CBS, exit polls), the polls themselves are used to CREATE public opinion.I say polls, schmolls.
