In my first post I forgot to say what I diltnieefy don't like about this pencil: There is too much play between the endcap and the body so that it rattles when you move the pencil. I think I'll fix this with a thin film of epoxy resin on the metal tube of the endcap.The mechanism of the Lamy 2000 is made by Schmidt Technology (schmidttechnology.de) just like the rollerball and ballpoint refills. They also make the mechanisms and refills for Pelikan and Faber Castell (and many others).
