RE: One problem I can see poppnig up is the unauthorized practice of law, or if authorized, malpractice. Offering general advice and information is one thing, but when you get specific to the individual, expecting them to follow it, it's a lot more of a problem.I'm not sure whether Redfin or similar firms have run into trouble with any bar associations in other states, but I can see that as a potential issue. It would probably be an issue in Washington state, but for the fact that not that many attorneys are really that interested in writing up real estate contracts, compared to apparently some other states.
