I am married to a Darula, Judy's brethor, one of them. I had a lot of respect for Larry in the the 60 s, early 70 s and up through the years.Larry has eaten at our home, and the one thing I admired about Larry is, he dared to be who he wanted to be, or thought he was or should be the person he wanted to be, was restricted, until he flew like an eagle, to be independent.Larry had many thoughts about every topic and yet, I felt he was living out his dream to fit in our society that was almost impossible to do, because our times were ahead of Larry's dreams and they were out of sync with reality. Of course, some dreams are not realistic. Not even mine.I remember Larry as a kind, smart, rebellious, restless, dreamer, adventurous, smart, daring, and yet a loving, honest man. Always thinking and wanting to explore.I remember that day, when Larry was killed. I received almost all of his Little Free Press article newspapers he had written out by hand at that time. Some of it was powerful thoughts, other parts of his press letters, made no sense, at least at that time.Many of my husband's relative's thought Larry was nuts , because he did not beat to their drum or they did not want to understand his drum beat. How sad, that their are people in my husband's family even today, feel Larry was not a normal person. It's a shame, because I feel not accepting one is his or her own person, is missing out on life, and their own.To be honest, my husband's family have not accepted me either. Perhaps, I am a little like Larry.
