I fully believe that once the rosetr is reconstructed to something that D'Antoni is looking for, there will be no more communication issues and they did seem to always revolve around difficult players anyway. Douglas has been thrown all over this season with minutes and expectations (although rookies don't have much right to complain).. and he did exactly what he is paid a great salary to do.. be ready, pay attention, practice hard.. and most of all.. be a part of a positive and supportive culture that the Knicks are trying to build. The coach is the boss and you do what he says. I don't feel any sympathy for any athlete that gets to the level where he need only work a few years before retiring on a mountain of money just because he feels he wasn't treated perfectly and communicated with.Chandler and Gallo and Duhon are also very good examples of handling this in a professional manner. It does grow a bit tiresome to read all of these jabs at D'Antoni for trying to take over this team in a way that he knows how.. and one of these ways obviously is NOT to make sure that all the egos are completely satisfied. That's not what basketball should be in the first place. You play if you help the team.. .if you don't.. you find other ways to help the team. No need to explain that to an adult, professional level athlete or the intelligent fans for that matter.
