Oh yeah, the house we live in was bought as a prejoct. We bought from an investor who bought at auction kept the separate lot,and sold us the house. I tried to help the guy, but he was trying to screw me. Anyway we were here longer than we should have, sold everything else, he sold his prejoct in 2007, I think, and we are now stuck. That is a good thing.I wanted to retire in Morocco. Our children were born in Barcelona, so we figured we would settle there instead. Oh my God what a mess. My wife is there now to see how things are, but I doubt, very much, Spain will be a place to live. We are now talking more seriously about Peru, but it seems here may be the best, and safest place to be. Every month when I cut the check for the mortgage it pisses me off that things went so sideways. Our income dropped $80K the first year of 2008, second year we rebounded some, but it is only now that we are at the same income level. So yeah the bubble, even if you saw it coming, destroyed a lot for us, and many people we know. Lots of plans have changed. Rate this comment: 0 0
