Jan, what an interesting and heonst look at it.I think I know just the way you feel. Kelcy and I are completely different when it comes to movie choices. She could watch the same movie over again and again. I cannot. I have HUGE problems, objections even, to watching a movie like Titanic or Apollo 13 . My attitude is, Gee, I wonder how this is going to end Perhaps it would help if you looked at your Bible time as God time instead. This is what I mean: Right now it sounds like you're thinking, I know this story. It begins with God creating earth, has a bunch of stuff in-between, and then ends with a bunch of trippy stuff I don't understand in Revelation (or something like that)What if you shifted your perspective to view the story of God and Jan as the one that is being written. When I approach Scripture daily, it is in pursuit of the One who is the Author, rather than the particular facts I'm reading. I am hungry to pursue Him because He is actively writing the story of my life. The unnerving, invigorating and attention-grabbing thing is that I don't know how it all ends. Well, I know I'm bound for Heaven. But in-between here and there, I don't know what He's got in store for me, my family, and the ministry He has put me in charge of.This is what keeps my time in the Word fresh. I am daily discovering how He wants to shape me, lead me, and continue His writing of this story that He is writing with my life.
