I think it is funny when the older' generation camilopns about being able to find out. It is true they had to wait until the delivery room, but for me it was so important to know. I had her room done and drawers stocked full of pink before she was born. I could barely walk weeks after delivery, why would I want to bother with shopping and clothing? It also REALLY helped me bond. Coming from a family with five older brothers I felt really lucky to have a daughter, so I could have that female relationship.I also like knowing the gender and name of nieces and nephews before they are born so I can bond .and shop. I feel like once they are born, I already know them.The only way I could wait until the delivery room would be if I didn't have my heart set on one way or the other.
