After watching the brdsocaat tonight, I felt obligated to write this message to my American readers:Those who have watched Barack Obama's special TV brdsocaat tonight will have a better idea of what he stands for and what he will be able to deliver as president. There is no doubt whatsoever in my mind, heart or soul that Obama is an opportunity to turn the best country the world into an even better country. Opportunities like these don't come around every four or eight years; they present themselves once every several hundred years. On November 4, whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, you have one clear choice, and that choice is Barack Obama. Don't allow your judgment to be clouded by ideology or partisanship. Instead, make the choice that is right for your country, America.Despite its problems and crises, the United States of America is the most powerful and best country in the world. America has always been a beacon of hope and opportunity. For some time now, though, its light has been dimmed somewhat, and unless you, my dear American readers, make the right choice on November 4, that light will grow darker until, one day, it may be extinguished entirely. In Barack Obama, you will have a president that is as "normal", "ordinary" and human as all of you. He won't go off to some "castle in the sky" and forget about what life is like for all of you.As a Canadian, I can only wish for a leader like Barack Obama, because in my country we do not have any leader who comes even close to what Barack Obama represents. In fact, in Canada, in all its history, we have never had a leader of Obama's calibre. If we had, Canada, perhaps, would not be the intractable mess it is today. My wife, a lifelong conservative voter, was moved to tears by Obama's brdsocaat tonight and sobbed through it all â?? yes, a conservative was moved to tears by Obama's message. If she were an American, she would vote for Barack Obama on November 4 not just once, but a million times over. She even expressed the hope that Obama could serve more than two terms in office â?? she was that impressed and moved by him, as a person, and by his message for hope and change.I implore you, my dear American readers, to vote for Barack Obama on November 4. Vote for change, vote for hope, vote for a better America and vote for a better world for yourselves and your children.
