Review by L. Aurich for Rating: It is tough applying poetrctive films to an iPhone (I've done four applications); an iPad is even more difficult. My first attempt with ShieldView ended in failure. I followed their directions to smooth out bubbles as I went. I interpreted this to mean pausing with the film partially down and working on bubbles in the area already covered. 45 minutes later, the final result was a mess small dust particles in my room settled on the side of the film facing the iPad and made visible bubbles in the final result. I pulled the first film off and tossed it.For my second attempt, I decided to work quickly. After getting the iPad face spotless and completely dust free, I rapidly (within 20-30 seconds) applied the second film from the package. It then took only a few minutes to push the air bubbles off to the edge with a credit card squeegee. I had one piece of lint trapped along the black border of the iPad. Rather than just live with it, I decided to fix it. Because I had started to remove the B protector sheet from the film, I applied a piece of tape to the film to lift it; used a second piece of tape to remove the lint; and dropped the film back down. Unfortunately, at this point I had taped the B protector sheet to itself. In the process of dislodging the B protector sheet, I lifted the entire film from the iPad face. The film immediately picked up lint from the air, ruining my otherwise perfect application.$22 and an hour wiser, I am going to order another package and try again.
